Terms of Sale
Last updated: 24 August 2026
These Terms of Sale govern the sale of copywriting services by Copywriting by Lisa ([[CLIENT: full legal name]], 225 Av. Pasteur, 77550 Moissy-Cramayel, France, support@copywritingbylisa.com) through copywritingbylisa.com to any client ("you"), whether a private consumer or a business.
1. Scope.
These terms apply to every package purchased through the catalogue on /pricing/ and each service page, and to any custom scope agreed separately in writing. Placing an order — completing checkout, or accepting a written quote for a custom scope — constitutes acceptance of these terms in full.
2. Services and prices.
Every package (tier) is described on its service page and on /pricing/, including its price, what's included, the number of revision rounds, and the stated turnaround. Prices are shown excluding VAT (HT); as set out in Section 6, Copywriting by Lisa is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added at checkout, regardless of your billing country — the price shown is the price you pay. Prices may change at any time for future orders; the price you pay is the price shown at the time you complete checkout.
3. Add-ons.
Optional add-ons (FR ↔ EN adaptation, priority turnaround, an additional revision round) are priced and described at /pricing/ and on each service page, and are added to your order at checkout. Priority turnaround is subject to availability, confirmed before payment.
4. Ordering process.
You choose a package (and any add-ons), add it to your cart, and complete the five-step checkout: contact details, billing details, a project brief, payment, and a final review before you confirm the order. An order reference is generated on confirmation. Orders are processed in the order received.
5. Payment.
Current status of this site: card payments are simulated. No real charge is taken, and no card details are transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere, at any point. This is disclosed in full on the payment step of checkout. Once real payment processing is enabled, this section will describe the live payment method(s) accepted.
6. VAT.
Copywriting by Lisa is not VAT-registered: TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du Code général des impôts (the French micro-entreprise VAT exemption). No VAT is added to any order, regardless of your billing country — the price shown at checkout is the price you pay, with no VAT line. If Copywriting by Lisa becomes VAT-registered in the future, this section will be updated to describe the VAT treatment that applies from that point (French VAT for clients in France and EU consumers, reverse charge for VAT-registered EU businesses, out of scope outside the EU), and prices will be updated accordingly.
7. Delivery and turnaround.
Each package states its own turnaround, starting from receipt of a complete project brief and any materials requested. Turnaround assumes revision feedback is returned within a reasonable time; a delayed response from you extends the delivery date accordingly. Copy is delivered as a document (typically a shared Google Doc), formatted appropriately for the deliverable. We do not publish, upload, or install copy directly into your website, CMS, or email platform — you retain full control of your own systems.
8. Revisions.
Every package includes two rounds of revision, measured against the brief agreed at the start of the project. Feedback should be consolidated and returned in one round, not spread across multiple partial rounds. Further revision rounds beyond the two included can be purchased as the "Additional revision round" add-on (€180 flat, per round).
9. Ownership of delivered copy.
Full ownership and usage rights in the final, delivered copy transfer to you on payment in full. Drafts, working notes, and any copy from a cancelled or unpaid project remain the property of Copywriting by Lisa.
10. Cancellation, rescheduling and withdrawal.
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for cancellation terms, rescheduling, and your statutory right of withdrawal as an EU consumer.
11. Liability.
Copywriting by Lisa provides copywriting services and is not responsible for the results of published copy (traffic, conversion rates, rankings, sales), which depend on factors outside our control (design, technical implementation, market conditions, your own publishing decisions). We are responsible for delivering copy that matches the agreed brief, within the stated revision rounds. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant package.
12. Confidentiality.
Any information you share with us about your business, product, or customers to write your brief is treated as confidential and used solely to deliver your project.
13. Force majeure.
Neither party is liable for a delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
14. Monthly retainer scope.
Unused scope in a Column, Feature or Masthead month does not carry over beyond the following month. If actual usage consistently runs over or under the tier ordered, the tier is changed to the one that fits at the next monthly billing cycle, at no penalty and with no notice period beyond that cycle. A one-off month that needs more than the ordered tier covers is quoted and agreed separately before any of that extra work starts. (This clause governs retainer scope; retainer cancellation terms are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy §4.)
15. Governing law and disputes.
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will first be addressed directly at support@copywritingbylisa.com; failing an amicable resolution, consumer clients may refer the matter to a consumer mediator or to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/). In the absence of amicable resolution, the competent courts are those of Melun, France.
